Winch Family - Myron Erwin Winch - page 3

Dad and his family stayed in the house on First street for many years. This picture was taken in September 1940, when he was a sophomore at Fresno High School He was on the swim team in high school.

Myron graduated from Fresno High in 1942, and enlisted in the Army Air Corp. During that summer he had his appendix taken out by an Army surgeon.

They apparently used a local, as my Dad remembered seeing his appendix and thought it looked like a hot dog it was so red and infected!

He was extremely lucky it hadn't burst.
