    The aforenamed Nathaniel Morton Davis before whom the foregoing Deposition was taken is a respectable Magistrate and Counsellor at law in this County of Plymouth and is authorized to take [?], and the forgoing is his genuine handwriting and signature

I Silvanus Larell do testify and Say  that Barnabas Horton was one of the last three years men in the Revolutionary war from the Town of Bridgewater [?] and that after the close of the war [?] [?] of him his final settlements, so called, and received his wages. I am a native and inhabitant of Bridgewater with him and have always known him and there can be no doubt of his having served as a soldier during the last 3 years in said war. - Silvanus Larell
