Winch Family - Thomas Winch - Will and Probate Record - page 1a

 This was found sometime in the early 2010 to 2020 on Ancestry.com. This document reads as:

In the Name of God Amen. the first Day of March Anno Dommine one Thousand Seven hundred and fifty Eight and in the thirty first year of His Majestys Reign [?] I Thomas Winch of Framingham in the County of Middlesex in the Province of the Massachusetts-Bay in New Eng[land]

Gent: being in considerable health of Body and of perfect mind and memory

Thanks be given unto God" But calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for al men once to Dye do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is to Say, Principally, and First of al, I Give and Recommend my Soul into the hands of God that gave it; and my Body I recommend to the Earth, to be Buried in decent Christian Burial at the [direction and charge of my Executor "hereafter" named [?] [?] but at the General Resurrection I Shall receive the Same. My [?] by the mighty Power of God and as teaching Such [?] by Estate where with it hath pleased Go to Bless me in this life after my just Debts and Funeral charges are paid, I Give, denise, and dispose of the Same in the folowing manner and form.

{?} I Give and bequeath to Deborah my Dearly beloved wife the [z/]  and improvement of the East half part of my dweling house from top to bottom with the  Sellar under the Same and an Equal Privledge at the front door and at the  well, and a convenient yard room at the house while She remains my widow. I also give to my [?] wife al my indoor houshold goods and moveable affects, and my negro girl Genney to be hers for ever to be at her Sole orde[?] further my will is that my Son Nathan Winch provide for my [?] wife. and his mother one good cow for her use and keep the Same for her winter and Summer, and provide for her ten bushels of Indian meal and five bushels of Rye meal yearly and every year while She continues my widow and provide his To mother all other things and every thing that Shall be {needful} andnessary, and that She Shall have an occation for for her Suppport and comfort in Sickness and in health, and look after her and [?] her under all circumstances of life. at her death to burry her honorably in recent christian burial at his own cost and charge.

Item I Give and bequeath to my Son Thomas Winch all the lands and buildings where he now lives that was mine by Signing over a Deed of the Same. to the Dr. Thomas winch his Heirs and asigns forever to be his full portion out of my Estate.

Item, I give and bequeath to my Grandson Ebenezer Winch Son of my Son Samuel Winch Sixty Five pounds thirteen Shilings and four pence lawful money to be paid hm the first day of May next after he arives to the age of twenty one thirty three pounds Six Shillings and Eight pence to be paid by my son  [Joseph] Winch to the  So Ebenezer for which payment my  [?] Son Joseph has given a bond. and my will is that my Son Nathan Winch pat to my To  Grand Son Ebenezer Winch thirty three pounds Six shillings and Eight pence. the first day of may next after he arives to the age of twenty one. onto his heirs. Execute of Admits to be his full portion out of my Estate.

Item Give and bequeath to my Son Joseph Winch a Deed of a certain piece or parcel of land lying in To Framingham containing by Examination] fifty five acres be it more or less Dated March [?] first 1758  to be his portion out of my Estate.

Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Deborah Farrar the wife of John Farrar twenty three pounds Six Shillings and Eight pence to make up and compleat her full portion out of my Estate.
