This is my - Myra Lee Winch Lindgren - great grandmother Ida Carolina Andersdotter Jarl Nelson. She was born in Alvesborg, Langered, Hullings, Skaraborg Sweden.
According to the document below, taken from Sweden, Church Records, 1451 to 1943, Ida was born on March 7 1876. in Espenas, Alvsborg. She was the daughter of Anders Johnsson and Beata Jonasdotter. The record states that she was the 14th child born in the parish for the month of March. Her mother was 34 years old when she was birthed.
The far left hand column states that Ida was the 14th child born in this parish in the month of March.

This is the first census Ida is present for. I found this record at FamilySearch.org. It is the 1880 Swedish Census of Espenas Wanga Rote. The film number is 104118223. The census is on page 322 for this community in the Swedish Archives.
The census starts with listing Sgt. Anders Johansson on line #1. At the far right end of the columns is the word Flyttat. Flyttat means to move. His name is crossed out as he went to N. Amerika on 21 September 1888. I believe that he returned to Sweden as his name is written in pencil above the crossed out name. The rest of the line is not crossed out.Anders was born 1 September 1840 in Ostad. The word in the column "Koppor" and the "V" by his name means that he was vaccinated for Small pox. The entire household as listed here was vaccinated as well. "Läser" means reading so I believe that both he and his wife can read. I believe the last column is "Författa" which means write.
The left hand page under Wangå rote. Wanga are dated notations as to when the household were tested and probably passed their catechism.
Line 2 - Anders wife [hustru] Beata Jonsdotter was born in April 18 1842. She was born in Långared parish, Alvsborg County.
Line 3 - Johanna Sofia was born in 1869, September 8 in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. Johanna can read. This indicates that the family had moved to Långared after March 9, 1883. [Refer to Line 8.]
Line 4 - Johan was born in 1871, October 15 in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. Johan can read. I believe that Johan was probably named after his father's father. Forklaring mean "explanation". A notation is noted in the columns of Forklaring and Författa.
Line 5 - Our Ida Karolina was born in 1876, July 4 in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. Ida cannot read nor write. There is
Line 6 - Karl August was born in 1879, February 21 in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. Karl cannot read nor write.
Line 7 - Aron was born in 1881, November 20 in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. Aron cannot read nor write.
Line 8 - Amanda Josephina was born in 1883, September 3 in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. Amanda cannot read nor write.
All of the children were born in Långared parish, Alvsborg County. The family had moved to Espenas, Alvsborg. It is possible that Beata and some or all of the children might still have been in Långared parish.[ Possibly the father might have moved to Espenas in time for the 1880 census, intending to move the entire family at a later date. It also might be that Espenas and Långared might have been close enough for the mother to deliver in Långared. It is rather a puzzle.

This is the first census Ida is present for. I found this record at FamilySearch.org. It is the 1891 Swedish Census of Espenas Wanga Rote. The film number is 104118225. The census is on page 335 for this community in the Swedish Archives.
What is unique about this census is that Johanna Sofia and Ida Carolina have emigrated to the United States. I believe that they both ended up in Iowa.
Johanna left Espenas on 18 February 1892.Once there, Johanna Sofia married Oscar F. Telgren, in Stockholm Township, Crawford County, Iowa.
Our Ida Carolina left Sweden 2 years after Johanna. Ida left her home on 2 March [ or February] 1894.
On line 4, Johan left the home, but remained in the area of the census in 1894. He is listed on p[age] 361 in the same census book.
There is one new person listed on this page. Emeli Ilida Johansdotter. She was born on 2 February 1891. This infant died on 25 February 1891. Nothing more about this child is mentioned on the record.
I am wondering if my Grandmother, Emily was named for this child.

I found this image on 2 November 2022. I hadn't really expected it, but it ties into when Ida Carolina left Sweden. It also shows the rest of the Tellgren extended family.

This grave was found by Briain and myself, during, I think our last, family history tour in 2014. Her grave is next to one of her son's, Carl August Jarl's grave.
