Jarl Family - 1910 Jarl Family Census - John Theodore Jarl - page 2

By the time John was 10 years old the moved to District 0140. Wheeler Township, in Sac County Iowa. 

The family was the 39th house visited and the was the 41st to be enumerated. It starts with the head of the household:

Jarl, Albin was the head of the household He is a 32 year old white married male. He has been married for 14 years . He was born in Sweden as were his parents. Albin immigrated in1888 and the record states he was naturalized. He speaks English and is a Laborer, and works in the farming industry. He had not been out of work. He can read and write. He rents his home on the farm. The area is listed as "2" on the farm schedule. The census asks if he is a veteran and he answered "yes" [I don't think he understood the question.] He is neither blind, deaf, or dumb. 

Caroline is listed next. She stated that she was Albin's wife. She is a 32 year old white female, and has been married for 14 years. She has had 6 children, all of whom are living. She and her parents were born in Sweden. She immigrated in 1894. She reads and writes English.


All of Albin's children listed were born in Iowa. None are married nor employed.

Emily  is 13 years old. She speaks, reads, and writes English. All are white and single.

Pearl is 10 years old. She speaks, reads, and writes English.

Elizabeth is 8 years old. She speaks, reads, and writes English.

John is 5 years old, who is followed by Ethel who is 3 years old, and Margarit who is 1 year old.
