Masters Family - Deborah Carline Masters - page 5 - Carmel Wedding

This is the only picture that I have on Aunt Deb and Uncle Dick on their wedding day. I changed it to black and white - below right. They were married in Carmel, Monterey, California.

This article reads as:
Deborah Haar, Is Married To Richard Nelson
Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Nelson are establishing their home at 764 Michigan Avenue. The couple were married October 8th in the Church of the Wayfarer in Carmel.
The bride, the former Deborah Haar of Fresno, was attired in a candlelight lace gown over matching taffeta. The gown was fashioned with a strapless bodice and a ballerina length skirt. A matching jacket of lact which was styled with a nylon tulle yoke was worn with the gown.
The bride's only jewelry was a single strand of pearls. She added a beige Satin hat with a bow and streamers of veiling in the back. Her boquet of cymdium orchids was arranged on a golden bound Bible.
Miss Lola Winch was her sister's maid of honor. Her strapless ballerina length gown was made of Chantilly lace over blue taffeta. She added a jacket of matching lace which was designed with a Peter Pan collar. She carried a yellow gladioli boquet.
Dr. B.M. Sorauf was the best man and Arthur B. Wiebe was the usher. Myron Winch gave his sister in marriage. Reb. Filmore Gray officiated and Ralph Farr sang prenuptial selections.
The church was decorated with baskets of yellow hued chrysanthemums.
Mrs. Emily Winch wore a gray silk dress for her daughter's wedding. The mother of the bride-groom, Mrs. H.W. Lewellyn of Selma, was clad in a wine hued suit. Both add corsages of gardenias.
The reception was in the Pine Inn. The bride's table was centered with a tiered cake which was flanked by silver candelabra and encircled with white carnations. Champagne and hors d'oeuvres were served from a table which was decorated with white gladioli.
The couple honeymooned in Carmel and Palm Springs.
The bride is a member of the Junior Parlor Lecture Club. She was graduated from the Roosevelt High School.
Nelson, a son of Mrs. Lewellyn and Henry Nelson, both of Fresno, is employed as a pharmacist for the College Pharmacy.
