Jarl Family Military Records - Carl Petter Jarl

This is as large as I could get this insert below, without the insert hanging out the side of the blog page.

I found this in the "Genalmösterroll" [General roll]. This is from the year 1846. I believe I found this in the Swedish Archives online, a number of years ago.

Första Corporalskapet translates into "First Corporal".
I believe that Norramäla refers to the area he is from.



I believe that the entry below Carl's name states he enlisted on 10 March 1828.

The column to the right of his name documents that he is 38 years and 3 months old [1/4 = 3 months].

The next column documents that he has been in the Army for 18 and 1/4 years.

His height is 5'10". 

To the right of that, it reads "gift", meaning he is married.
