I found this marriage certificate from FamilySearch.org on 1 May 2020. I copied it out of Minnesota, County Marriages, 1860 - 1949. Image 746 of 1756, film # 004703890. District Court for the County of Martin} SS.
Know Ye, This License is hereby granted, to join together as Husband and Wife, Francis J. Elwess of the County of Martin and State of Minnesota and Mary C Lloyd of the County of Martin and State of Minnesota, being satisfied by the Cert. of said [J?] J. Elwess that there is no legal impediment thereto.
Therefore, This shall be your sufficient authority for solemnizing the marriage of said parties, and making return thereof as provided by law.
In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand, and affixed the seal of said District Court, at [Fairmont] this Ninth day of July 1873
